Large Stitch Balloon Sculpture At Notte Bianca In Aid Of Puttinu Cares

Visitors to Valletta’s Notte Bianca can be greeted with a spectacular sight this year; a giant Stitch sculpture made entirely of balloons, presented for the first time by Partygoods Malta.
Towering above the crowds, the colourful installation quickly drew the attention of families and tourists alike.
But beyond its eye-catching design, the balloon artwork carried a deeper purpose.
The installation was created in support of Puttinu Cares, Malta’s beloved children’s cancer support group.
Founded in 2002 by doctors, parents, and volunteers, the NGO provides vital care to young cancer patients and their families.
Its work includes emotional and psychological support, as well as accommodation in the UK for Maltese families who must travel abroad for specialised treatment.
By combining creativity with compassion, the balloon Stitch not only added a playful burst of colour to Valletta’s cultural festival but also served as a reminder of the importance of solidarity.
Through initiatives like this, the community continues to rally behind Puttinu Cares, ensuring that children battling cancer and their families never face the journey alone.
