Kids Put Forward Malta Vision 2050 Proposals To Prime Minister

Prime Minister Robert Abela, accompanied by Minister for Education, Sport, Youth, Research and Innovation Clifton Grima, and Parliamentary Secretary for Malta Vision 2050 Ronald Mizzi, welcomed eleven children from a MESGA delegation at Castille.
The young participants presented proposals aligned with the 17 Sustainable Development Goals as part of the Malta Vision 2050 consultation process. They were joined by CEOs from MESGA’s founding organisations.
Prime Minister Abela stated that Malta Vision 2050 aims to secure a sustainable future for younger generations.

He welcomed the children’s proposals as a valuable contribution and praised MESGA for bringing together business leaders and youth in preparation for the future.
Minister Grima highlighted that this initiative demonstrates how education extends beyond the classroom. He noted that involving children in national discussions empowers them to contribute to shaping the country’s direction.
He emphasised that Malta Vision 2050 places education at the heart of sustainable economic development and a better quality of life.
Parliamentary Secretary Mizzi said the proposals were impressive and well-researched, especially given the young age of the participants.
The children also presented the publication Isimgħuna, featuring proposals from last year’s conference, previously shared at the United Nations. In return, the Prime Minister awarded them certificates of recognition for their contribution to Malta Vision 2050.
