England Squad Announced for UEFA EURO 2024 Qualifiers Against Malta.

Gareth Southgate, the manager of the England national football team, has revealed the 25-player squad that will face Malta in the UEFA EURO 2024 qualifiers this June.

The Three Lions will kick off their journey with an away fixture against Malta on Friday, June 16.

Southgate’s squad includes some notable inclusions and recalls. Crystal Palace’s Eberechi Eze receives his first senior call-up after his impressive performances with the Eagles. Eze, who previously represented England at U21 and U20 levels, has earned his place in the senior squad through his consistent form.

Brighton & Hove Albion defender Lewis Dunk makes a return to the Three Lions setup after his last appearance in 2018. Aston Villa’s Tyrone Mings also receives a recall after his last appearance for England against Cote d’Ivoire in March 2022. Palace goalkeeper Sam Johnstone, who withdrew from the squad due to illness in March 2022, is also included in the squad.

England currently sits at the top of theirEURO 2024 qualifying group after winning their opening matches against Italy and Ukraine in March.

The majority of the squad will gather at St. George’s Park on Monday, June 12, to commence their preparations for the matches.

Players participating in UEFA European Finals with their respective clubs will join the squad at a later date, reflecting the commitment to balancing club and national team responsibilities.

The squad features a talented group of players who possess a blend of experience and youth. Notable names such as Jordan Pickford, Harry Maguire, and Harry Kane will be joined by rising stars like Phil Foden, Jack Grealish, and Bukayo Saka.

The Jean Paul Sofia banner is up again in front of parliament as the family continues to demand justice for the youngster who tragically lost his life in the Paola construction site tragedy.

This was announced on Facebook Page ‘Għal Jean Paul’ which is owned by Jean Paul’s mum who continues to make her voice heard in order to get justice for her only son as well as demanding new laws with proper enforcement in the building industry.

Hundreds of people gathered in Valletta to demand an environmental and planning reform

Hundreds of people gathered in Valletta to participate in a national protest with the theme “xebbajtuna” organised by Moviment Graffitti.

Speaking about this protest, Christine Cassar from NGO Moviment Graffitti explained that “we are living a state of emergency because the quality of life and the natural environment of our islands are deteriorating rapidly due to a frenzy of reckless building everywhere.” 

Moviment Graffitti claimed that “we are in this mess for one clear reason. Behind this wave of environmental destruction lies a web of politicians and developers who have created a system that serves the profit of the few instead of the common good.”

The NGO, and hundreds of people are demanding an environmental and planning reform as soon as possible.

Community mourns the tragic loss of Kacey Sciberras in emotional funeral service

The Parish of St. Paul’s Bay was filled with grief as friends and relatives gathered to bid a final farewell to Kacey Sciberras during a deeply moving funeral mass.

The young girl tragically lost her life in a devastating car crash in Ħ’Attard last Sunday, an accident that also left two other young individuals injured.

The community came together to celebrate Kacey’s life and offer support to her grieving family during this difficult time.

The packed church reverberated with sorrow and heartfelt tributes as mourners honoured Kacey Sciberras.

Throughout the service, she was remembered as a kind-hearted and cheerful girl who always sought to live life to the fullest.

Friends, relatives, and fellow students from the Institute of Tourism Studies (ITS) attended the funeral, along with members of the St. Paul’s Party Committee.

Also present was the other girl who had been in the car with Kacey at the time of the tragic crash.

Towards the conclusion of the mass, the priest read a heartfelt message written by Jason Sciberras, Kacey’s father, which had been shared on Facebook.
