Juventus versus Milan has ended in a goalless stalemate as neither teams could find a goal. Juventus needed the win to keep any outside chances of a late title push alive whilst Milan needed the 3 points to keep on city rivals Inter’s tail and also keep the title battle close and entertaining. The result sees Milan in third place on 49 points level with Napoli in second, whilst Juventus remained in fifth place on 42 points still chasing a Champions League spot.
The fist half of the game was very intense and was played at a high tempo because of the constant pressing from both teams. Both the Rossoneri and Bianconeri were relying on individual trickery from skillful players like Rafael Leao and Paulo Dybala to create chances. The strength and stamina from both midfields helped the teams control certain parts of the half. The injury and substitution of Milan star player Zlatan Ibrahimovic was the highlight of the half as no goals were scored.
The second half consisted again of both teams, constantly attacking and trying to find the much needed goal. Milan seemed like the team that wanted to win more, as their players looked more determined and attacked more intently with players such as Theo Hernandez and substitute Ismael Bennacer providing multiple chances for Oliver Giroud. Juventus also had their fair share of chances but none as threating as of the Rossoneri’s.
