John Newman To Perform At Official NYE Valletta Celebration

British singer and DJ John Newman is set to headline Malta’s National New Year’s Eve celebrations in Valletta.

Known for his powerful soul-influenced vocals and energetic performances, Newman shot to international fame with his 2013 hit “Love Me Again,” which topped the UK Singles Chart and earned him a Brit Award nomination for British Single of the Year.

He has also been recognised with an Ivor Novello Award for Best Contemporary Song, cementing his reputation as one of the UK’s most compelling musical talents.

John Newman’s performance was announced by Jason Micallef, the Chairman of the Valletta Cultural Agency, in a FaceBook post earlier this morning.

The New Years Eve event, organised by Valletta Cultural Agency and VisitMalta, will feature not only Newman but also a lineup of both international and local talent, promising a night of music that caters to a wide audience.

Attendees can also expect a spectacular Grand Harbour fireworks display, lighting up Valletta’s historic waterfront and creating a truly festive atmosphere.

The festivities will take place in St George’s Square, Valletta, and entrance is free.

It will also be broadcasted live on local television stations.
