Jenna Ortega gains 15 million followers since the start of ‘Wednesday’ on Netflix

Since the start of Netflix’s Wednesday, Jenna Ortega has taken over the world, gaining a whopping 15 million followers whilst breaking record numbers on the streaming giant.

Like most things in 21st century media, a significant contributor to Ortega’s popularity was the now-viral Wednesday Addams Dance TikTok challenge, which has seen everyone from Kim Kardashian to Lady Gaga herself reenacting the dance.

‘Wednesday’ has proven itself a huge success since its launch on Netflix, beating Stranger Things for most hours watched in its debut week and clocking at an impressive 341.23 million hours watched.

20-year-old Ortega has quickly solidified herself as a scream queen, appearing in films & series including ‘X’, ‘Scream’, ‘Insidious’ and ‘You’ before securing a role in the globally-popular ‘Wednesday’.
