Christine Muscat, mother of the late Jan Pace, has confirmed that her son will be given a final farewell this Friday at 9:30am at the Sanctuary of Divine Mercy in Naxxar.

The 36-year-old, a well-known hairdresser, was tragically found dead in a residence in Pietà on Sunday following a nationwide search that captured the hearts of many.

In a heartfelt Facebook post, Muscat wrote: “On 11th July, Jan Pace, beloved son of Chris and Christine, passed away at the age of 36, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and unforgettable memories.” She added that Jan will be lovingly remembered by his parents, extended family, friends, and loyal clients.

The family is requesting that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Crisis Resolution Malta, an organisation providing vital support for individuals experiencing mental health crises.

The initiative reflects the family’s desire to honour Jan’s memory by supporting others in need.

Muscat also expressed sincere thanks to the Malta Police Force, Civil Protection Department, K-9 Urban Search & Rescue Malta, and all the volunteers who participated in the search effort.
