Investigations Ongoing into Aircraft Incident At MIA

A light aircraft incident at Malta International Airport (MIA) temporarily halted runway operations yesterday. The aircraft, a TECNAM P2002S with registration FH-UBK, was involved in an on-airfield incident at approximately 17:00.
According to an official statement from Malta International Airport, first responders were immediately dispatched to the site.
Investigation is now underway to determine the cause of the incident. However no injuries have been reported

As a precaution, all runways were closed temporarily to ensure the safe clearance of the aircraft and to protect the safety of all airport users.
Runway operations resumed at 17:33 local time, following confirmation that the airfield was safe for continued use.
