The wax figure, dressed in a red sequinned gown inspired by Carey’s 2020 Apple TV+ holiday special, is displayed in a festive setting, complete with a giant Christmas wreath and life-sized nutcrackers.

The detailed waxwork, which took over nine months to create, amazed Carey and her 13-year-old twins, Moroccan and Monroe, who shared their awe at the likeness.

Carey even donated her own jewellery for the figure, including a red ruby necklace and matching earrings. Fans were equally impressed, praising the lifelike creation with comments like “They NAILED IT” and “The best one I’ve seen yet.”

Carey expressed her excitement, calling the wax figure surreal and the perfect tribute to Christmas. The display, celebrating her iconic holiday legacy, left many fans eager to see it in person, cementing the wax figure as one of Madame Tussauds’ best celebrity creations.

CSA Enforces Tattoo Documentation for Correctional Officers

CSA Enforces Tattoo Documentation for Correctional Officers
Nov 3 2024 Share

The Correctional Services Agency (CSA) is requiring all prison correctional officers to photograph and catalogue their tattoos, aiming to enforce a dress code policy introduced in 2022. The CSA outlined the mandatory documentation process in an internal memo seen by Times of Malta. Officers with tattoos in exposed areas must have these areas photographed and sign a declaration, while those without visible tattoos need only sign a declaration.

The CSA’s policy permits body art, but prohibits excessive or offensive tattoos, as well as tattoos on the face, neck, and hands. Additionally, officers cannot obtain new tattoos in visible areas without prior approval. According to Times of Malta, some officers have reportedly violated this policy, frustrating colleagues who have adhered to the rules.

This initiative, led by a senior correctional inspector, is seen by some officers as a necessary measure to uphold standards. However, others argue it infringes on personal privacy and question its legality. Traditionally, tattoo restrictions in disciplined forces have aimed to uphold a professional image, though many countries are now relaxing these restrictions as societal attitudes evolve.
