The Institute of Tourism Studies (ITS) has officially opened its second satellite campus in China, in collaboration with Zhengzhou Tourism College (ZTC).

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs and Tourism, Ian Borg, inaugurated the new campus during his official visit to China. Located in Zhengzhou, the capital of Henan province, the campus marks a key step in the ITS Strategic Plan 2020-2025 and reinforces its vision of becoming a globally recognised centre for tourism and hospitality education.

The new Zhengzhou campus will offer a three-year, full-time programme in Tourism and Hospitality Management, with an annual intake of up to 40 students. Graduates will receive dual qualifications: a Chinese vocational diploma and a Malta Qualifications Framework (MQF) Level 5 diploma equivalent to that awarded at ITS Malta.

Dr Borg stated that the partnership with ZTC enhances ITS’s international reach and supports the delivery of high-quality, industry-relevant education. He added that education fosters connections between nations and strengthens long-term cooperation.
