Wildlife Rescue Team Malta issued a video showing a turtle which reportedly has an injured front flipper which it is unable to use.
The turtle was spotted around Mellieħa Bay around 21 hours ago. Boaters have been urged to keep an eye out and to call if they spot the turtle.
Anyone can contact the team on 99999505 and help rescue this magnificent marine animal.

Following the reveal of the live-action prequel to The Lion King’s Mufasa, Disney continued to unveil many more upcoming projects starting late this year going into 2025.
The stand out was hands down the live action Lilo & Stitch remake, which only shows the fuzzy alien ripping through the title card and speaking in his signature and adorable voice.

But stitch was not the only reveal at D23, as the sequel to Moana received its very first trailer, which unveils Moana little’s sister.

And to harken back to how Disney started it all, the live-action Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs also received the first teaser, with Gal Gadot taking on the role of the Evil Queen.

Yesterday, at around 1615hrs, police were informed that their assistance was needed in a residence in Triq il-Kortoll, ix-Xagħra, Gozo.
Police convened immediately on site where preliminary investigations showed that a 3 year old boy fell into a pool and found difficulty.
He was given preliminary aid and was transported to Gozo General Hospital immediately. Unfortunately, he was pronounced deceased a few moments later.
An inquiry has been opened as police continue their investigations.
Condolences to his family. Rest in peace.

Algerian boxer Imane Khleif has silenced all of her doubters by winning the woman’s welterweight gold medal against China’s Yang Liu.
Khelif secured a unanimous decision victory as a large Algerian crowd at the renowned Roland-Garros Stadium cheered her on with chants of “allez Imane” and “1, 2, 3 Algérie!”
After her historic win Khelif exclaimed “I want to thank all the people here,” she said pointing into the stands, “and the people of Algeria to come support me, my coach and Team Algeria.”
All five judges had it 10-9 for Khelif in each round, showing that there was a clear winner despite neither Khelif or Liu being able to stop their opponent.
Khelif has been fighting under a cloud of questions and criticism over her gender afer her dominant 46 second win over Italy’s Anglea Carini, with many far-right politicians and influencers demanding for Khelif to be disqualified for thinking she was a man.
About her attacks, Khelif had this to say “We are in the Olympics to perform as athletes, and I hope that we will not see any similar attacks in future Olympics,”
