Indonesian Sailor Dies After Suffering Fall on Saturday

A 41-year-old Indonesian man has sadly died after falling roughly one storey down a hatch in Malta on Saturday, 6th September, while his boat was berthed at Xatt il-Mollijiet, Marsa.
Emergency services, including the Civil Protection Department and a medical team, rushed to the scene to assist.
The man was taken to Mater Dei Hospital by ambulance, where he was certified as suffering from serious injuries. Unfortunately, he later succumbed to his condition.
Police have confirmed that two individuals have been arraigned in connection with the case before Magistrate Dr Donatella Frendo Dimech LL.D. A magisterial inquiry is underway, while police investigations remain ongoing.
