Hudson has announced that it has signed an agreement to represent international fashion brand H&M in Malta, with the first local store expected to open in 2026.

The move will see the globally recognised Swedish retailer enter the Maltese market for the first time, offering womenswear, menswear, kidswear, and home collections.

For many years, Maltese shoppers could only access H&M while abroad, making this announcement a significant development for the local retail sector.

The partnership with Hudson follows a similar agreement signed earlier this year to represent H&M in Morocco, where Hudson has already taken over the management of two stores in Rabat and Marrakech.

Alfie Borg, Chairman of Hudson Holdings Group, described the agreement as the result of years of discussions to bring one of the most requested brands to Malta.

He noted that the partnership highlights Hudson’s position as a trusted retail operator. Sam Miller, Head of Franchise at H&M, said the collaboration will make fashion and lifestyle more accessible to Maltese consumers while encouraging creativity and self-expression.

Founded in Sweden in 1947, H&M is one of the world’s leading fashion companies, with a portfolio that also includes COS, Monki, Weekday, & Other Stories, H&M Home, ARKET, and Sellpy.
