Horse Who Was Mistreated Now Going On Walks & Slowly Healing

Second Chance Horse Rescue has shared a heartwarming update on Nova, a horse recently taken into their care after years of mistreatment.

Nova can be seen going for a little stroll, after being shown the love she’s long been denied. Though she still struggles to walk and will never regain full mobility, her rescuers report clear improvement since her arrival.

A recent vet check confirmed that an untreated front leg injury caused her bones to fuse — a condition that cannot be reversed. Nova will remain on pain relief for the rest of her life and will be fitted with special shoes for support.
