Honey Buzzard Found Unable To Fly On St Julian’s Hotel Balcony

Environment
The Malta Ranger Unit shared photos of a big Honey Buzzard who got caught on a balcony and unable to fly on a St Julian’s balcony.
Rangers had started their shift when they were alerted by a hotel staff that a guest had a large bird on the balcony.
The honey buzzard was taken to the Government Veterinary for a check up after contacting Bird Life Malta.
The bird was thankfully healthy and is set to be released to continue its migration.
Rangers urged anyone with clear glass balconies to put bird stickers to avoid having birds flying into them unintentionally.
