Oct 22 2021 Share

Following on from the hugely successful inaugural capsule earlier this year, the BOSS x Russell Athletic Pre-Spring 2022 collection celebrates the collective spirit of team sports and the buzz of baseball, through the DNA of the two brands. The collection brings a fresh perspective to retro Americana references, taking inspiration from the archives of both brands, relaxed fits are achieved with easy, 90s-style cuts that are right for now. The base palette of dark blue, cream, and camel is brought to life by pops of orange and mineral blue.

Varsity-inspired bomber jackets are embellished with contrast chenille patches reflecting BOSS’s dedication to craft and workmanship. A special blended “BOSS x Russell Athletic” logo features across the collection, resulting in statement branded sweatshirts which have been given the vintage treatment – a fitting tribute, considering Russell Athletic counts the first sweatshirt among its inventions. Trump’s new social media ‘Truth’ platform hacked within hours of launch

Trump’s new social media ‘Truth’ platform hacked within hours of launch
Oct 21 2021 Share

Within mere hours of ex-US President Donald Trump announcing his new social media platform, Twitter users managed to hack the new site. Trump described the platform, which he (rather ironically) calls it ‘TRUTH Social’ as being founded with ‘a mission to give a voice to all’. He shared a statement through his spokesperson Liz Harrington, declaring that ‘everyone asks me why doesn’t someone stand up to Big Tech? Well, we will be soon!’.

After the 75-year-old was kicked off of Twitter and given a permanent ban following the Capitol riots, the twice impeached former POTUS was also kicked off of Facebook and Instagram earlier in 2021. This was because his precedes was a ‘risk of further incitement of violence’, but his attempted return to social media has already ran into issues. Hackers created dummy accounts of both Trump and former Vice President Mike Pence. The launch was expected for 2022, but the cyber attack has helped expose the beta site’s vulnerable sides.

41 Italian doctors investigated over false sickness certificates
Oct 21 2021 Share

Italy’s ‘Guardia di Finanza’ is investigating 41 doctors after some of them reportedly issued false sick certificates as some if their colleagues did not want to go to work out of fear of COVID-19.

Catanzaro’s guard discovered that 13 doctors who worked in the 118 emergency service did not go to work after presenting certification. These documents were however discovered to be fake.

Preliminary investigations reported how doctors were giving their colleagues these fake certificates. Some of the ‘patients’ did not even go to the doctors personally, simply asking for them to produce the forged documents. Others even continued to practice their occupation through private means, exclaiming that they did not want to go to work out of fear of the pandemic.
