Heavy winds with possibility of rain showers forecasted for Sunday

Malta’s Meteorological Office has issued a yellow wind warning, forecasting significantly windy weather on Sunday with winds as strong as force 7 in exposed areas of the Maltese Islands.

The weather is expected to be relatively cloudy with the possibility of isolated rain showers and improve later today. Temperatures are expected to reach highs of 19°C and lows of 16°C

Today’s general situation is caused by a depression over the Balkans and extending towards the Central Mediterranean which is anticipated to move northeastwards.

Malta to host EU-Med9 summit in 2023

The next EU-Med9 summit will be held in Malta.

The EU-Med9 summit will bring together the leaders of Croatia, Cyprus, France, Greece, Italy, Portugal, Slovenia, Spain, and Malta.

The event is expected to take place in Q4 of 2023 where Malta will be hosting the 10th summit of this kind.

Prime Minister Robert Abela attended this summit, in Spain, during the past days.

Prominent American football journalist has died while covering the World Cup in Qatar.

48 year old, Grant Wahl, collapsed during extra time of Argentina vs. Netherlands.

Multiple reports are suggesting he may have had a heart attack.

Last month, Wahl was detained by Qatari authorities for trying to enter a stadium wearing a rainbow shirt, in support of LGBT+.

Al Jazeera’s AI predictor, Kashef is betting on France to win over England.

At 52%, Kashef is marginally leaning towards ‘Les Bleus’.

With 58 matches played at this World Cup, Kashef has accurately predicted 67% of the games – The AI robot makes these predictions by compiling more than 200 metrics, including the number of wins, goals scored, FIFA rankings and more, from matches played over the past century.

Kashef correctly predicted seven of the eight games in the last 16 matches.
