Heartfelt Tribute From Roberta Metsola Following Death Of Jan Pace

President of the European Parliament, Roberta Metsola has issued a heartfelt statement following the tragic death of Jan Pace, a young man whose disappearance over the weekend deeply touched the Maltese public.
In her tribute, Metsola said, “Malta has lost another young man too soon. Jan was loved by so many, his life touched so many more.” She shared how one of his friends described him as someone “who brought joy wherever he went, someone who always lent a shoulder for others to cry on someone who genuinely cared.”Earlier in the weekend, mental health organisation Crisis Resolution Malta raised the alarm, calling on the public to look out for Jan and help in any way possible.
While she admitted she did not know Jan personally, Metsola underlined the urgent need for improved mental health support, particularly for young men and boys.
She continued,“We need to do more for our nation’s boys and young men, and much more to raise awareness about the support systems and mental health services available.”
Metsola ended her statement with a message of compassion and solidarity, “Hug your friends and loved ones a little tighter tonight. May he rest in peace. My heart goes out to his family.”
