Marvic shared a special moment with his mother Rose in a heartwarming moment during the Big Brother Malta live show.

Rose crossed the Gozo Channel, on a stormy day, to have a brief moment with her son and to give him some words of encouragement.

Rose expressed her gratitude for the team of the Big Brother Malta production, Marvic’s friends and everyone else who continue to support her son.

‘Marvic was raised in an environment where life was not easy’, Marvic’s social media account explained.

Fr. Fabio Attard has been elected as the new Rector Major of the Salesian Order, becoming the 11th successor of Don Bosco. This election has been hailed by the Salesian family as a “historic moment” for both the Salesian Congregation and the global Salesian Family.

Fr. Fabio Attard’s election took place during a gathering of 220 provincials and delegates at the Mother House of Valdocco in Turin.

With extensive theological, pastoral, and academic experience, Fr. Attard was called to guide the Salesian Congregation toward a renewed future, bringing Don Bosco’s dream to the heart of the contemporary world, the community stated on its website.

Born on March 23, 1959, in Gozo, Fr Fabio Attard grew up in Victoria.

Fr Attard pursued his studies with great dedication, earning a degree in Theology from the Pontifical Salesian University (UPS) and a Licentiate in Moral Theology from the prestigious Accademia Alfonsiana in Rome.

In a statement, the Maltese Church congratulated Fr Fabio on his appointment, offering its prayers for him as he starts a mission to lead the Salesian community in 136 countries.

41 Year Old Man At Risk Of Dying After Falling 3 Storeys

Today, at around 0005hrs, police were informed that their assistance was needed in Triq Hookham Frere, Pieta.

Police convened on site immediately and preliminary investigations showed that a 41 year old Russian man, who was on the roof of a residence where he lives, fell around three storeys as he was conducting some work.

A medical team and Civil Protection were called on site, with the victim being transported to Mater Dei Hospital.

He was later certified as having suffered serious injuries.

An inquiry has been opened and police investigations are still ongoing.

A Look At The Mużika Mużika 2025 Stage!

Mużika Mużika, one of Malta’s largest music festivals, returns for its fifth edition from 27 to 29 March 2025 at the MFCC, Ta’ Qali.

Organised by Festivals Malta, the festival spans three evenings: The First Evening, Is-Serata tal-Klassiċi, and the Final.

This year, the First Evening will not include an elimination round. Instead, audience members can vote exclusively through the ‘Mużika Mużika: Il-Vot tas-Sala’ app, with these votes counting towards the final televote that determines the winner.

Attendees on 27 March are encouraged to download the app and register their vote in advance, with registration closing at 8:30 pm.

A highlight of the festival is Is-Serata tal-Klassiċi, a nostalgic evening featuring iconic Maltese songs performed by competing artists alongside renowned local singers, including Frank O’Neill, Joe Carr, Thea Garrett, and Mary Spiteri.

The final evening on 29 March will feature special guests, The Tenors, an internationally acclaimed group known for blending classical music with pop, folk, and rock.

With months of preparation, the event promises a world-class production. The festival will be broadcast live on TVM, and tickets are available at www.muzikamuzika.mt.
