Hard Rock Hotel Malta Set To Open In 2026

A major new hotel is set to rise in St Julian’s, as Hard Rock International confirms its first Maltese property will open in early 2026.

The future hotel will be located in St George’s Bay and will feature 394 sea-view rooms, suites and villas including 25 with private pools plus two executive club floors. Designed as a full lifestyle resort, the development will combine local charm with Hard Rock’s global edge, offering 15 dining, bar and nightlife concepts, a rooftop splash pool, and what is billed as the largest wellness and fitness offering in Malta.

Highlights include ten outdoor pools, indoor spa and children’s pools, a 3,000sqm wellness centre with longevity treatments, a branded international beach club, flexible event spaces, and one of Malta’s largest lifestyle shopping malls.

“This will be a place where visitors and locals can meet, unwind and celebrate,” said Robert Debono, CEO of db Group, the development partner. General Manager Florian Walther added, “It’s a bold, music-infused destination that captures the spirit of the island.”

Construction is on track, with a sustainability focus aiming for LEED Silver certification. Recruitment and partnership preparations are already under way ahead of the global launch.
