Guzeppi The Rescue Dog Walking On Three Legs Following Accident

Guzeppi, a dog found critically injured after being struck in the midsection, has endured a harrowing journey, but his fighting spirit is nothing short of inspiring.

Association for Abandoned Animals Malta has recently posted an update about the beloved Guzeppi, sharing a video of him running and playing, despite his amputated leg.

“Two surgeries in eight days, and nothing fazes him,” the post read. “He surely can teach us what ‘get up and start again’ is all about.”

Upon arrival, vets discovered Guzeppi had suffered massive chest trauma and a fractured upper arm.

An emergency orthopaedic surgery was performed, but further complications revealed severe nerve damage and exposed tissue, forcing a second, life-saving operation that led to the amputation of his front leg.

While Guzeppi’s road to recovery is far from over, AAA Malta expressed deep gratitude to the veterinarians, volunteers, and donors who made his survival possible.

As the shelter put it, “Continue healing darling Guzeppi, you surely entered into our hearts.”
