The televised marathon welcomed a variety of local personalities like Keith Demicoli, Mark Laurence Zammit, Moira Stafrace, AIDAN and many more. Archbishop Charles Scicluna thanked Hospice for their noble work with patients who suffer from terminal illness. He went on to state that “Hospice Malta helps people live a good life on heaven’s doorstep.”

The organisation is gathering funds to finish their complex in Saint Venera, with the Adelaide Cini Institute premises being donated from the Church to Hospice Malta in 2019.

Archbishop Scicluna stated that everyone deserves the right to live with dignity in the last stages of their lives and Hospice will be helping in the provision of palliative care.

Billie Eilish, Paul McCartney, Kendrick Lamar, Diana Ross and hundreds of other acts headed to Worthy Farm in Somerset, England last weekend for the much-anticipated return of Glastonbury Festival and it was definitely worth the wait.

From iconic headline slots to coming-of-age performances from some noise-making bands and singers, the contemporary performing artists saw waves of British festivalgoers and tourists don boots, bags and bandanas at the globally popular festival.

Festival attendees included award-winning rapper Stormzy, former One Direction members Niall Horan & Louis Tomlinson, Coldplay’s Chris Martin, Harry Potter actress Bonnie Wright and many more.

Key iconic moments included Paul McCartney’s video introduction of his late fellow Beatle John Lennon, Olivia Rodrigo’s middle finger to the United States’ Supreme Court Justices and Kendrick Lamar’s heavy-hitting artistic closer.

STUDENTS! Don't worry about re-sits; these FREE SEC Revision classes have got you sorted
Jun 27 2022 Share

One of students’ biggest concerns during exam season is the fact that they could very well underperform in a subject or two and have a re-sit hanging over their head during the entire summer. Knowing that you have a re-sit is never good news, especially knowing the amount of groundwork you have to lay down before going at it again but thankfully, Jobsplus have got students sorted for summer with their free SEC revision classes.

The classes are available for young people between the ages of 15 and 24 who will be sitting for SEC resit exams at Ordinary level in September 2022 in Biology, Physics, Mathematics, Maltese and English. These free classes will certainly put students’ mind at rest with warranted teachers providing free lessons, both online or in-class as well as free provision of online learning videos, tests and past papers.

Students may apply once results are published by MATSEC in July via SMS, The link to the online application classes can be found on Youth Guarantee Malta’s Facebook and Instagram pages, so you better give them a follow to keep yourself updated!

Classes will take place over five weeks starting from Monday 25th July and you can pick up to three subjects, including one science subject. For now, we hope you’re giving your all at the moment to make the best out of your summer, but if things don’t work out, Youth Guarantee have got your back.
