Gozitans can now benefit from the use of 56 brand new e-bikes, purchased by the The Local Enforcement System Agency (LESA) and The Gozo Regional Council.
The e-bikes were supplied through an investment of €82,000, of which €65,000 were paid by LESA.
In a recent post, Minister for Gozo Clint Camilleri reported that the bikes will be distributed amongst Gozo’s various localities and will offer an alternative, zero-emission means of transport to Gozitans which is ideal for short distances on the island.
The Ministry for Home Affairs, Security, Reforms and Equality, lead by minister Byron Camilleri, revealed that LESA’s investment comes from funds collected from and penalties issued by the agency.
Have you ever used an e-bike?
