Friends of Caroline Flack post tributes of the star one year after her death

Tributes poured in on social media celebrating the life of Love Island star Caroline Flack on the one-year anniversary of her death.

The official Love Island Twitter page posted a photo of Flack with the quote ‘always in our hearts’ while the show’s narrator Iain Stirling posted a picture of the two on Instagram captioned ‘..thinking of you today. Miss you mate.’

Flack died at her North London flat one year ago, a few weeks before she had to go to trial for the alleged assault of her boyfriend Lewis Burton where she took her own life in fear of the anticipated publicity.

156 COVID-19 cases registered overnight with 184 recoveries

Malta has registered 156 new cases of COVID-19 in the past 24 hours from 2,817 swab tests, while 184 patients have recovered. This information was announced by the official Facebook page of Malta’s Ministry for Health.

As of Sunday 14th February 2021, 51,641 vaccine doses were administered of which 16,256 were 2nd doses.

To date, Malta has registered 19,945 COVID-19 cases in total, of which: 17,310 have recovered, 295 died and 2,340 are still active.

Three establishments found breaching regulations during Carnival weekend

Between 11-14 February, the Malta Tourism Authority along with the Malta Police Force and Health Department carried out 3000 inspections of various establishments in the food and accommodation industry, with only three of which found breaching regulations.

One of the establishments is currently being investigated while the other two were fined for being open after 11pm.

The MTA also inspected 65% of accommodations in Gozo and 475 food establishments, where no breaches of regulations were found.
