Former Tottenham boss Pochettino becomes new PSG head coach

Mauricio Pochettino, former coach for Tottenham, Southampton and RCD Espanyol de Barcelona, has officially been announced as head coach for French side Paris Saint-Germain.

The legendary Argentine coach has signed a contract valid util June 2022 after being sacked by Tottenham back in November 2019.

Considered to be one of the greatest coaches in the world, Pochettino expressed his excitement in working with some of the world’s foremost talents and went on to say that he will do his best to take the team to a new level going forward.

Bernard Grech visits Karin Grech’s grave in first post-quarantine duty

Nationalist party leader Bernard Grech took to Facebook to announce his first post-quarantine duty as he visited the grave of his ate cousin, Karin Grech.

In a heartfelt Facebook post, Grech stated that this was the first thing he did after leaving quarantine to do something which he could not have done on the anniversary of her murder.

The PN leader also appealed for united country with a common vision and reiterated his sentiments on a country which does its utmost to solve such political crimes.

Over 370,000 babies were born on New Year’s Day; eight of them in Malta

An estimated 371,504 babies were born on New Year’s Day around the world, as announced by the United Nation’s agency for children UNICEF.

Eight of them were born in Malta, as Mater Dei CEO Celia Falzon reports the birth of four girls and four boys.

Appealing for world citizens to sustain the Earth and build “a fairer, safer and healthier world for children”, UNICEF executive director Henrietta Fore stated that “Children born today will inherit the world we begin to build for them—today.”

George Clooney’s latest release ‘The Midnight Sky’ seems to be having a momentous start to 2021 with streaming giant Netflix projecting it to become one of its most popular films ever.

The post-apocalyptic marvel was directed by AND stars Clooney and is reported to have been watched by 72 million households during the holiday season, even reaching the number 1 spot on Netflix in 77 countries.

Winter is all about watching movies and with all the hype around ‘The Midnight Sky’, we need to give it a watch ourselves, ASAP!
