Former PM Lawrence Gonzi Meets Pope Leo XIV

During the Centesimus Annus Pro Pontficie Foundation’s annual international conference, newly elected Pope Leo XIV met former Prime Minister of Malta Lawrence Gonzi.
During the members’ meeting, the Pope focused on the role of the Social Doctrine of the Church, which he described as an ‘instrument of peace and dialogue to build bridges of universal fraternity.’
In one of the photos shared to the official Instagram of Vatican News In Italiano’, the Pope could be seen shaking hands with the former PN Prime Minister.
This comes after a weekend of the Pope meeting Maltese politicians during his inauguration ceremony at the Vatican.
