First official trailer for Hunger Games prequel film drops

Fans of the Hunger Games series get to return to the world of Panem as the first official trailer for ‘The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes’ drops.

The film will serve as a prequel to the worldwide hit series by Suzanne Collins and has a stellar cast – including Tom Blyth, Rachel Zegler, Peter Dinklage and Viola Davis.

The book that the film is based on was released back in 2020 and tracks the story of a young Coriolanus Snow before he became the tyrannical president that Katniss Everdeen has to lead a revolution against.

The premise sees Snow enrolled as a mentor for a Hunger Games tribute, a young Lucy Gray Baird from District 12 for the 10th ever Hunger Games as it starts to become a media sensation for citizens of The Capitol.

The film will drop in cinemas on November 17th 2023, so it won’t be long before fans get to hear the mocking-jay tune once again.

Devis Mangia found guilty of improper conduct, not sexual harassment

The Malta Football Association has released an official statement detailing how former Malta National Football Team coach Devis Mangia was found guilty of improper conduct but not sexual harassment.

In an investigation carried out by the Safeguarding Board of MFA, it was deemed that no sufficient evidence to support the allegations of sexual harassment or grooming was found.

On the other hand, the board claimed to have found sufficient evidence to support the allegation of improper conduct.

The Board subsequently decided that Mangia shall be ‘temporarily suspended from participating in any football activity in Malta until he enrols to a course on professional boundaries, which he must complete within six months. The course chosen needs to be approved by the MFA Safeguarding Board.’

This comes after the coach was relieved of his duties in September of last year after two players from the national team reported him for improper conduct.

Mangia denied the claims and he may also appeal the new decision taken by the board.

Birkirkara make it to Izibet FA Trophy final after 4-3 win

Birkirkara make it through to Izibet FA Trophy final after their 4-3 victory over Mosta last Wednesday, making this the Stripes’ twelfth appearance in the final.

Birkirkara won the competition five times, but the last time this occurred was 2015. Last Wednesday’s match was a dramatic back and forth between Birkirkara and Mosta, leading to 7 total goals and close calls.

Unfortunately for Mosta, the defeat means that their chances of getting a spot in the UEFA Europa Conference League are not very likely.

Birkirkara will face Marsaxlokk next in the final for the 2022/23 Izibet FA trophy.
