Disney’s live-action adaptations keep rolling out fan favourites, with one of the most eagerly awaited being Lilo & Stitch.
At this year’s D23 event, Disney unveiled the first CGI look at Stitch, and at D23 Brazil, they showcased a new close-up of the lovable blue alien, featured in the image below.
In the photo, Stitch is lounging in Lilo’s room, wearing a lei around his neck and looking as cute as ever.
This close-up highlights the texture of his fur and the various shades of blue, showing a faithful adaptation of the original animated design. Fans will also spot plenty of details on the walls and bed, though Stitch undeniably steals the spotlight.
Fans of Stitch will be thrilled to hear that Chris Sanders, the character’s co-creator, is back to voice Stitch.
He joins Maia Kealoha as Lilo, Sydney Agudong as Nani, Kaipo Dudoit as David, Courtney B. Vance as Cobra Bubbles, Billy Magnussen as Agent Pleakley, and Zach Galifianakis as Dr. Jumba. Additionally, Tia Carrere returns, now playing the role of Mrs. Kekoa.
