Taking to social media, Marvic’s sister Denise issued a heartfelt post thanking those supporting her brother as well as urging everyone to remain positive – something that Marvic, she said, urged both her and their mother Rose to do.

‘As a family we have been watching and observing everything, both on television and online’, wrote Denise.

‘While you may see us liking and interacting with social media posts, we have tried and succeeded for the most part not to comment to protect our family and our mother.’

‘This has naturally been incredibly hard for us as a family because our instinct is to defend and protect our wonderful brother whom we love unconditionally.  But the truth is we don’t need to respond to anything because we are letting Marvic do the talking on screen.’

‘Marvic wanted us to be positive and that is what we are doing. We know who our brother is, authentic, heart on his sleeve kind of guy, incredibly smart but lets his heart make decisions.’

The message urges fans to follow their lead and remain positive.

‘Marvic would not want us to return that hate. So we urge you to be kind’, the message concluded before thanking everyone and pushing to get Marvic to the final.
