Footage sent to this newsroom show a massive black plume and flames which broke out in Aldo Moro, Marsa.
An accompanying statement by Transport Malta urge drivers going in the southern direction to use alternative routes as authorities address the situation.
It is currently unclear what caused the fire and whether anyone was injured.
