Festival season making a comeback? AMP Lost & Found announced for 2021

With countries like Taiwan hosting large-scale festivals and the COVID-19 vaccine slowly making its way into Europe, many of us can’t help but imagine a world back to normality, and apparently, neither can the people at AMP.

Annie Mac Presents, the brand behind the popular Lost & Found Festival, have announced dates for their 2021 edition, taking place between the 1st and 4th September after many festivals had to cancel and reschedule due to the pandemic.

The festival has hosted huge acts like Disclosure, Jamie XX, Diplo, Jamie Jones and Annie Mac herself and we can’t wait for the festival season to make a return!

Prime Minister says Caruana Galizia public inquiry to end next week

Prime Minister Robert Abela has expressed his confidence in declaring that the Daphne Caruana Galizia public inquiry will be over by the 15th of December, unclear whether or not he would consider another extension.

The inquiry board started with a nine-month term, but went on to appeal for an extension due to alleged disruption from the COVID-19 pandemic.

The inquiry investigates whether or not the State did enough to prevent the Caruana Galizia car bombing, looking into various witnesses including ex-Prime Minister Joseph Muscat.

139 COVID-19 cases registered overnight with 101 recoveries

Malta has registered 139 new cases of COVID-19 in the past 24 hours from 3,192 swab tests, while 101 patients have recovered. This information was announced by the official Facebook page of Malta’s Ministry for Health.

From yesterday’s cases; 26 cases were family members of previously known cases, 4 cases were contact of positive work colleagues and 5 cases were direct contacts with other positive cases.

To date, Malta has registered 10,659 COVID-19 cases in total, of which: 8,479 have recovered, 155 died and 2,007 are still active.

Pérez secures Sakhir Grand Prix as George Russell makes statement

A poetic victory for Hamilton fill-in George Russell was not to be as Racing Point’s Sergio Pérez steals the Sakhir Grand Prix away from the Mercedes team. 

The 22-year-old Russell put on an excellent showcase and may have secured the Sakhir GP had it not been for an unlikely mishap in the pits, leaving Russell gutted but proud of his performance.

Despite the results, George Russell made a statement with his performance, with Mercedes’ team-boss stating that “he has all the potential and all the ingredients that a future star needs.”
