Yesterday evening, Malta’s Eurovision 2023 representatives The Busker took to the stage at Wiwi Jam to perform for a massive crowd of Eurovision fans.

The crowd was absolutely loving the set, singing along with The Busker and even doing the iconic hand gesture with the ‘Hey, Wait, Watcha Say’ part of the tune.

Despite not qualifying for the final, praise for the Busker was pretty evident amongst Eurovision fans, given the trio’s highly energetic song as well as their radiant positivity.

Gozitan-Australian millionaire Adrian Portelli, who has been making his mark on social media as of late, just shared the view from his newly purchased $39 million Melbourne apartment.

The video shows the sheer height of this apartment as Portelli looks down over the city, covered in white pillows of clouds.

The apartment is the most expensive in the city, and the former reality TV star, property investor and online guru is said to spend another $6 million on modifications and customisations to make the apartment one-of-a-kind. 

Earlier this week, Portelli made news headlines as he lifted his $3 million McLaren Senna GTR to the exotic 57th storey parking spot.

Malta ranks 1st in rights for LGBTIQ+ community again

Malta ranks 1st in rights for LGBTIQ+ community again

Malta has once again been ranked at the peak of the ILGA Rainbow Map and Index, claiming the title for the eighth consecutive year out of 49 countries. 

The index maps out rights for the LGBTIQ+ community, and is published on a yearly basis to examine the various contexts in terms of politics and laws concerning the various communities around the world. 

Malta received an 89% ranking, which is 13% points higher than the runner-up, Belgium. Addressing this recent honour, Parliamentary Secretary for Reforms and Equality Rebecca Buttigieg said that through continuous effort and collaboration, Malta is made more equal for all. 

Buttigieg cited the various work being done to safeguard the rights of the LGBTIQ+ community and its members, referencing among other things the continuous awareness and education targeted at inclusion of the community.

Here’s what Malta had to say in their initial reactions to Love Island Malta unveiling their very first contestant – Sven. 

Ahead of the series’ first episode this Sunday, Love Island Malta have revealed the first islander, 20-year old Sven.

In a video post by Love Island Malta, Sven revealed that he is a student and footballer who works in a financial sector.

In the video, Sven also stated that he goes to the gym everyday and expects that his partner does the same.

Love Island Malta’s first episode will air on Sunday 14th May at 20:50pm on TVM.
