Esplora Launches Summer 2025 Programme

Esplora, the Interactive Science Centre operating on behalf of Science Malta, has launched its Summer 2025 Programme. Running from 1 July to 28 September, the initiative offers a packed schedule of educational and fun-filled activities for children and families, placing a strong emphasis on science, discovery, and curiosity.

This year’s programme features interactive science shows, practical workshops, planetarium sessions, and access to over 200 exhibitions. All activities are held in a fully air-conditioned and accessible venue. A new feature for 2025 is a rotating thematic structure that introduces fresh topics every few weeks. These include themes such as space, nature, food science, sports, and Maltese cultural celebrations, giving returning visitors something new to explore throughout the summer.
The programme targets children aged between 2 and 14, using a hands-on approach to make science accessible and engaging. It aims to stimulate independent thinking, creativity, and imagination, offering a meaningful alternative to traditional summer pastimes.
Keith Azzopardi Tanti, Parliamentary Secretary for Youth, Research, and Innovation, praised Esplora’s commitment to inspiring younger generations through science. He described the centre’s work as vital in encouraging curiosity and a passion for learning in an inclusive and engaging way.

Esplora’s Head, Mary Anne Cauchi, highlighted the importance of inspiring wonder through science. She reaffirmed the centre’s commitment to providing innovative and inclusive learning opportunities that are both educational and enjoyable.
Through this initiative, Esplora continues to promote informal science learning and reinforce its mission of making science accessible to all. The Summer 2025 Programme offers a unique opportunity for families to engage in meaningful scientific exploration in a fun and welcoming environment.
