England Euro games fans to use COVID-19 vaccine passports
Jun 9 2021 Share

With England’s opening Euro 2020 match against Croatia happening on Sunday, fans attending the event will be given the option to use COVID-19 vaccine passports. UEFA has confirmed that the ticket holders based in Britain can enter by providing either a negative PCR test or by showing proof of full vaccination with a 14 day lapse before the match. Those based elsewhere must provide proof of negative lateral flow test.

22,500 spectators are expected fr England’s first two games, first against Croatia then against Scotland at Wembley. The stadium will be operating at 25% capacity. Should the vaccine passport system prove successful, this event will pave way for bigger crowds when Wembley hosts matches later in the tournament.

Jun 9 2021 Share

Summer is a season for coming together, creating memories and celebrating life under the Maltese sun. As the days get better & brighter, hanging out with friends and family is as precious as ever. That is why you need to make the days count, set the perfect ambience & have the best food & drink at the ready… and with that, Arkadia Food Stores & Malta Daily have collaborated to bring you 5 summer activities you can do this weekend!

Beach Day

Malta’s endless list of gorgeous beaches makes it absolutely impossible to overlook a beach day as one of the country’s prime summer activities.

Prepare a few seasonal snacks or platters and a couple of cold drinks and enjoy the beautiful Maltese landscape in all of its glory.

BBQ

Nothing feels like summer more than the seasonal breeze and the smell of charcoal burning, which is why barbecues are at the top of our list.

Whether its prime cuts of meat, fresh vegetables or even the iconic pink BBQ sausages, spending a few hours around the fire with friends is as ‘Summer in Malta’ as it can get.

Date Night

Preparing some nibbles and setting the ambience for the perfect date night is one of the most pure romantic gestures in the world, and summer is the perfect time to do it.

Food, drink, music and memories. Make your summer worth remembering and invest in the ultimate date night.

Camping

You either love it or you don’t. However, if you are well equipped on  shelter, activities and nourishment, few activities allow you to enjoy the island’s great outdoors like camping.

Complement your camping trip with a cooler full of goodies and brace yourself for the ultimate summer experience.

Games Night

Now that we can finally meet with up to 6 people in public, what better way to celebrate coming together than organising a good old-fashioned games night?

You can either get a few platters and drinks ready yourself or leave it up to the squad to bring their own, but endless laughs and great food are guaranteed!
