Ella Portelli is off to El Salvador, Central America, to represent Malta in Miss Universe 2023.

‘With a warm heart I can’t help but feel so grateful for all the love & support from everyone in my life and I cannot be prouder to represent my little beautiful island’, Ella wrote on Instagram prior to her flight from the Malta International Airport.

It’s no strange concept to anyone today that as the festive season inches closer, the song ‘All I Want For Christmas Is You’ re-emerges from the cyclical slumber to either fill get togethers with wintery glee or mentally exhaust retail workers.

And with the song already having seen an uptick in listens (it’s still November 1st guys!), the singer has embraced the cultural phenomenon the song has become with this video.

Personally, we’re not really giving Halloween its due attention. But hey, people who decorate for Christmas early are, reportedly, happier. And in all fairness, the guys doing the defrosting did wear Halloween costumes in a wink to the spooky time of year.

Haley Bugeja’s explosive hat-trick steered Malta to their fourth consecutive triumph in the UEFA Women’s Nations League on Tuesday.

With a hat-trick by Bugeja, the Maltese team now comfortably stands at the top of the UEFA Nations League Women 23/24 League C Group 1 with 12 points, having won the previous games in rapid succession.

The runner-up, Latvia, stands at 7 points as the Maltese continue to dominate the game.

With goals by Bugeja in the 36th, 39th and 43rd minute, the star player has managed to bag her second Malta hat-trick at the competitive level as she takes the top-scorer spot in the competition with 8 goals so far.
