Local Olympian, Eleanor Bezzina earlier today completed her precision round of the Olympic qualifiers in Tokyo .The qualifying round of the 25m shooting competition is halved in two, the precision round and the rapid round.
The precision round which happened today ended with a 1st place finish for Serbian shooter Zorana Arunović and a 17th place finish for Maltese shooter Eleanor Bezzina. Eleanor ended up with 289 points, 7 points off the top. Tomorrow at 2AM in the morning, she will participate in the rapid round where the shooters will have to test there accuracy even more as they will have to shoot quicker. This is the 2nd event Eleanor has competed in, in Tokyo, after her participation in the women’s 10m air pistol competition.
A top 8 finish in the final standings is needed to qualify for the final, so a big good luck to Eleanor Bezzina for her rapid round.
