€200,000 In Funds To Help Maltese Voluntary Organisations Go International

The Civil Society Fund has been launched for 2025 with an increased budget of €200,000 up by €50,000 from previous years. The scheme helps voluntary organisations take part in projects and training at European and international levels.

The announcement was made by Minister for Inclusion and Voluntarism Julia Farrugia, alongside MCVS CEO Mauro Pace Parascandolo.
The fund can support: Partnerships with foreign organisations, Memberships in European networks, Attendance at international conferences, Training opportunities across Europe.Each application can receive up to €6,000, covering 80% of eligible costs.
Minister Farrugia said the government is committed to helping voluntary groups grow and represent Malta internationally, adding, “This increase shows we want to support them not just financially, but in every way possible. When these groups succeed, it’s the community that benefits.”
Mr Pace Parascandolo added that the fund is popular because it gives organisations a chance to learn, grow, and contribute on a wider level.
Applications open at noon on Wednesday 16 July 2025 and close at noon on Wednesday 27 August 2025 through vofunding.org.mt. An information meeting will be held on Wednesday 30 July to help interested organisations.
