Dyson’s new noise-cancelling, air-purifying headphones are perfect for Malta

With a brand known the world-over for exceptional engineering, science & pioneering technology, Dyson’s new ‘Bane Mask’ headphones are finally being released and they are perfect for Malta.

After months upon months of speculation, the ‘Dyson Zone’ headphones are set to come out in March 2023 and will start at a cool $949, twice the price of the AirPods Max.

That being said, we honestly think the Dyson Zone would be perfect for Malta’s conditions. With Malta being ranked second in a list of Europe’s most air-polluted coastal regions and first in the European Union for noise pollution, air-purifying & noise-cancelling headphones might just work a charm.

In its US launch, headphones will be available in two colour-ways, Ultra Blue/Prussian Blue and Pryssian Blue/Bright Copper, with the latter coming with a few extras including soft pouch and inflight adaptor kit.

Mother and child take to Valletta to give out chocolates in act of Christmas kindness

Local creator and mother Steffie’s Life & her son Levi recently took to the streets of Valletta to give out some sweets and spread some Christmas cheer in their annual act of kindness.

In a recent TikTok video, Steffie explains that every year, Levi would do his part by giving some of his toys to a children’s home and this year, he would be giving out chocolates and sweets to passers-by in Valletta.

In the video, which has since garnered around 18,000 views, passers-by in Malta’s capital city were pleasantly surprised by the young man’s initiative.

Thanks to this young man and his mother’s initiative, pedestrians & street vendors carried on with their day with a smile on their day and some much-needed Christmas spirit.

That’s why this TikTok of a woman and a child revelling in the snow in front of a Hamrun shopping complex is one of the most wholesome things we’ve seen this week.

Complemented by the recent drop in temperatures and the harp-bestrewn French music in the background, the short but endearing video truly shows a moment of innocent Christmas bliss.

“Nothing decided”; TM addresses circulating sheet of increased contravention fines

Contacted by our newsroom, a Transport Malta spokesperson has stated “as part of our plan of action on road safety and strengthening of enforcement and discipline in roads, amongst a number of other measures, an evaluation of incidents and their causes is being made, together with contraventions related to them. At this stage there is nothing decided or concluded. An official communication will be made when the exercise is finalised.”

TM’s communication confirms that the photo that is currently circulating showing a list of significantly-increased contravention fines is not official.

Earlier this year, the Prime Minister and Transport Minister announced that a new strategy is in the works in a bid to curb the concerning amount of accidents taking place on the Maltese Islands.

Back in November, Robert Abela had stated that fines for mobile phones use whilst driving were set to be increased in addition to a number of other measures.

2022 was a record year for Malta with regards to traffic fatalities, with an average of around 2 deaths per month this year.
