Masses of Maltese drivers are expressing their continued frustration as many roads going towards the south of Malta remain overwhelmed with traffic jams this evening.

A small aircraft with two people on board had to make an emergency landing at the Malta International Airport in Luqa this afternoon.

The airport confirmed that at around 2:20PM, a private aircraft declared that it had to conduct an emergency landing after developing technical difficulties in its landing gear, with the pilot being unable to deploy the left wheel.

The airport immediately conducted its emergency plan with airport crew and civil protection arriving on site immediately. Investigations are currently underway to establish the cause of the incident while, thankfully, no passengers suffered any injuries.

Malta International Airport praised all emergency departments, including health officials and civil protection officials who were on site immediately to assist in any potential eventuality.

Man attempts to board plane with fire arm, knives and ammo

Nov 1 2021 Share

A possible jail sentence could be handed out to a Spanish fruit and vegetable salesman after he admitted to attempting to carry weapons and ammunition onto a flight departing from Malta. The man, from Gijon, pleaded guilty to related charges after he was discovered to be carrying two flick knives, a hunting knife, pepper spray, a firearm and ammunition all in his luggage before he tried to board a flight at the Malta International Airport. The crime is punishable by anything from a fine up to a prison sentence, with the prosecuting inspector stating that the man admitted to making a mistake.

However, he apparently never guessed that these items were illegal in Malta. They were allegedly given to him as a gift, going on to say that he passed through several international airports without incident with the same items. His lawyer revealed that the man bought the knives for his work, with the court, having heard the admission, put the case off for sentencing next week.

The Weeknd wins Halloween with the perfect Godfather costume

The Weeknd wins Halloween with the perfect Godfather costume
Nov 1 2021 Share

Sorry everyone but Halloween has established it’s best costume of the year as The Weeknd rocked the absolute best Marlon Brando’s The Godfather depiction ever. Abel Makkonen Tesfaye, a.k.a The Weeknd, has come equipped with professional help to get the perfect look, posting it to social media and captioning it with ‘The don is coming’. The photos have racked up more than 80,000 likes, but this is to be expected as no one really does Halloween like Abel does it.

The singer just does not mess around when it comes to Halloween, showing exactly how much fun celebrities have with the festivities. In 2020, he dressed up as the Nutty Professor and became unrecognizable another year when he donned the Jack Nicholson Joker mantle. But this Godfather costume takes the absolute cake, as everything from the aging wrinkles and iconic character grin were incorporated to his 2021 costume.
