Dr Edwin Mintoff Architects Awarded Bronze People’s Choice at Osaka Expo 2025

Dr Edwin Mintoff Architects, a leading Maltese architectural and engineering firm, has won the Bronze “People’s Choice” Award for its Malta Pavilion at Expo 2025 in Osaka, Japan.

The accolade, decided by public vote among 158 participating countries, recognises the pavilion’s popularity and the international appeal of Malta’s cultural story.

The pavilion, themed “Catch the Wave”, combines Malta’s heritage with modern innovation, featuring a limestone-like digital façade, temple-inspired curves, and immersive audiovisual experiences.

Dr Edwin Mintoff said, “We are truly honoured that the Malta Pavilion has been recognised by the people themselves. This award is a proud moment for Malta, showing that our story and vision resonate globally.”
