Donald Trump releases new sneakers one day after $355 million fine

Former American President and current presidential candidate, Donald Trump, surprised attendees at the Philadelphia Sneaker Con by announcing the launch of his new line of sneakers, just one day after being fined $355 million in a New York civil fraud trial.

The sneakers, characterized by their flashy gold color, prominent ‘T’ emblem, and the stitched USA flag on the collar, were described as offering both style and comfort, catering to Trump supporters. Limited to 1000 pairs and priced at $399 each, they sold out within two hours of their release. On Trump’s website they are currently being called ‘Never Surrender Hi-Tops’ and described as ‘bold, gold, and tough, just like President Trump’.

At the event, Trump told his fans “There’s a lot of emotion in this room. This is something that I’ve been talking about for 12 years, 13 years. And I think it’s going to be a big success,” .

While his fans were obviously happy to see his shock appearance, many were outraged and even criticised the event, which lead to a statement from the event which read “Sneaker Con’s mission is to support and promote sneaker culture through our worldwide live events and digital platforms. We are thankful and appreciative of the sneaker community, and recognize individuals who generate awareness and authentic sneaker related engagement towards our community.”

Selah is a survivor of a devastating airstrike in Gaza that tragically took the lives of her mother and brother, leaving her with severe injuries. The young girl was reunited with her father through the connective power of social media.

If The World Was Ending, How Would NASA Tell Us?

Major space agency NASA are known to have plans for any outcome, including a protocol for communicating with the global population in the event of an unavoidable scenario, such as a massive asteroid heading towards Earth where no intervention is possible.

Thanks to modern technology, NASA and other global space agencies possess the capability to detect any celestial object approaching Earth. In the event of an impending threat, such as a massive asteroid, these agencies would issue advanced warnings.

A coalition of astronomers known as the International Asteroid Warning Network would be alerted in the case of a potential doomsday impact. If the threat is deemed significant, NASA would coordinate with the government of the targeted nation and subsequently inform other affected regions and the United Nations.

The response strategy depends on the time remaining until impact. If less than five years are left, the focus would be on destroying the asteroid. For longer timeframes, NASA would attempt to redirect the asteroid using ‘kinetic impact,’ essentially nudging it off course by colliding it with a high-mass object.

Luckily the world won’t be facing any “Don’t Look Up” situations any time soon as according to NASA the next possible asteroid collision with Earth is all the way in the year 2182.
