Regeneration work has been completed on four apartment blocks in this area, while work on the fifth block is in its final phase. The project will continue until all ten social housing blocks in the area are fully renovated. Through this initiative, no fewer than 87 families will benefit.

Similar to other completed regeneration projects in localities across the country—including Ta’ Giorni, Fgura, Mosta, Ħamrun, and Santa Luċija—these social housing initiatives are providing residents with a more aesthetically pleasing environment and an improved quality of life.

During his visit to the site, Minister Roderick Galdes emphasised that this government investment aims to enhance the living standards of all residents in the area.

“Like the other projects we have completed, this initiative will further uphold the dignity of our families. Through such projects, we continue to make a tangible difference in residents’ lives. While the visual aspect of these blocks is important, it is even more crucial that these projects positively impact the daily lives of the residents,” said the Minister.

Minister Galdes also highlighted the government’s commitment to similar regeneration projects. Recently, a new collective agreement was signed for employees of Housing Projects Solutions Ltd in foreman and tradesperson roles. This entity is actively contributing to the regeneration of social housing sectors across Malta.
