Jan 12 2021 Share

The Medical Association of Malta has declared an industrial dispute which will start from Thursday following the unacceptable transfer of medical consultant Dr. Kenneth Grech.

The dispute revolves around the removal of Dr. Grech from the COVID-19 response team after appealing for caution regarding the opening of schools while a spokesperson for the Ministry of Health stated that Dr. Grech was not transferred for the issue with MUT but to return to his original role.

It was explained that Dr. Grech was part of a strategy team for allocation of EU funds for the health sector and was returned to his role to prevent Malta from losing millions of funds for the future of the country’s health and COVID-19 recovery.
