Nationalist MEP David Casa has nominated The Daphne Caruana Galizia Foundation for the European Citizen’s Prize.

In a press release published by the EPP group, it was highlighted that Casa praised the Foundation for “promoting rule of law, fighting for justice, and striving toward ending impunity.”

The Daphne Caruana Galizia Foundation is a non-profit, independent NGO created by Daphne’s sons Matthew, Andrew and Paul after the investigative journalist was assassinated in a car bombing in October 2017.

Casa went on to state that the Foundation has been on the frontline against corruption and has been “a trailblazer for civil society capacity-building during a period in our history when civil society played a vital role.”

David Casa is Malta’s longest serving Member of the European Parliament and forms part of the Nationalist Party.

WATCH: Queen eats bananas with cutlery so she ‘does not look like a monkey’

The eating habits of the royal family are some of the most fascinating topics one can read about. The Queen, known for her healthy diet, has developed quite a peculiar way of eating bananas.

The Queen enjoys eating fruit, but, for bananas, she has a very sophisticated eating method reserved. Apparently, Queen Elizabeth II eats bananas with a knife and fork.

And why you may ask? Well, according to former royal chef Darren McGrady, it’s so she can look less like a monkey when eating the yellow fruit. The fact was revealed in his book ‘Eating Royally’, but his spokesperson confirmed it in 2019.

McGrady explained how the Queen preferred to eat the banana by cutting off the top and bottom, slicing through the skin to allow easy removal, chopping the fruit into small pieces and then stabbing them with a fork to eat.

However, it may strike people weird that monkeys themselves don’t eat bananas like we think they do. Other primates are known to hold a banana by the stem, which we consider the bottom of the fruit.

Adrian Delia not likely to contest PN leadership to support new chief

Adrian Delia not likely to contest PN leadership to support new chief

Last Sunday, the Nationalist Party opened up its internal leadership electoral process, prompting former leader Adrian Delia to give his 5 cents on the matter.

Delia highlighted how this is the fourth time the party is doing so in just five years. He also acknowledged how these are difficult circumstances for the opposition and that this is a historical moment which will determine not only the destiny of the Nationalist Party but also the local political scene.

‘The sacrifices are massive’ he said. ‘Big personal sacrifices, but eventually, there are unprecedented satisfaction. So far, there is only one person who seems to be ready for this mission’ he said, referring to Grech.

Delia sent his regards to all those who are considering placing their names into the leadership hat. ‘As always, I pledge my loyalty and support to the next leader, no matter who it is, because I believe in my party. In the democratic process. In the will of the people.’

Here are the world’s top ten horniest cities – Malta is not on it either

Here are the world’s top ten horniest cities - Malta is not on it either

Last week we got to know which country has the biggest penis size (spoiler alert: it’s Ecuador). Now, a brand new survey has revealed which cities are the most straight up seductive and horny.

According to a new survey by online booze delivery service ‘The Bottle Club’, the criteria for this had to do with factors such as the amount of strip clubs, ‘sex events’ and one-hour hotels.

But that’s not all as the survey counted the number of restaurants selling aphrodisiacs, such as oysters and champagne, and the number of people on OnlyFans. And at the top of that list is London.

The UK capital was deemed to have a huge number of ‘sex events’, a massive pantheon of people on OnlyFans as well as people signing up to ‘fetish sites.’ London was closely followed by Las Vegas (It’s not called Sin City for nothing).

Third place was attributed to New York thanks to its large amount of one-hour hotels. The top five list was rounded up by Madrid and Paris, which is bizarre considering the French capital is known for its romantic aura.

The remaining countries were Rome, Berlin, Toronto, Sydney and, finally, Los Angeles. At the other end of the spectrum were Copenhagen, Cape Town and Porto, which all ranked poorly in terms of strip-clubs, one-hour hotels and OnlyFans users.

If you’re wondering, Malta did not make it onto such a list once again. We’re starting to suspect that the island is not being considered for such surveys at this point but we’re willing to give the benefit of the doubt.
