Cross-Border Collaboration Between The University Of Malta And University Of Benevento

Collaborative project launched between the University of Malta and the University of Benevento, potentially opening new research opportunities for Maltese students and academics. The project is aimed at advancing efficiency and sustainability in industry.

The initiative was sparked in October 2023, when MP Mark Anthony Sammut attended an Inter-Parliamentary Meeting organised by EUFORES, a European organisation that engages policymakers on issues related to sustainable energy and energy efficiency.

“I realised the work being done at both institutions was closely related,” Sammut said. “So I immediately contacted Prof. Ing. Paul Refalo at the University of Malta to help establish direct contact between the two universities.”

Sammut reaffirmed his commitment to results-driven politics: “I have always believed in politics that delivers results and in working for Malta’s benefit.”
