In this vibrant design, pink hues bring Patrick’s character to life, mirroring his lime green and lavender-covered shorts on the midsole.

True to Crocs’ style, the toe features thematic Jibbitz, depicting various aspects of Patrick, from a sleeping pose to his rock house. The strap showcases Patrick’s face, accompanied by his famous question, “Is mayonnaise an instrument?” cleverly placed on both clogs.

As of now, an official announcement for the SpongeBob SquarePants x Crocs Classic Clog Patrick collaboration is pending.

However, enthusiasts can anticipate its release in the coming weeks through Crocs and select retailers, with the price yet to be disclosed. The collaboration adds another dynamic and engaging dimension to Crocs’ diverse range of footwear.

UK To Ban Disposable Vapes

UK To Ban Disposable Vapes
Jan 29 2024 Share

The UK government is set to ban disposable vapes and implement measures to discourage youth vaping, responding to a rise in vaping among children.

Chancellor Rishi Sunak announced the plan, aiming to make vaping less appealing to youngsters by restricting sweet flavours, introducing plain packaging, and making displays less visible in stores.

These changes are expected to take effect in late 2024 or early 2025. The move is part of a broader response to a public consultation on smoking and vaping, resulting in some of the world’s toughest anti-smoking measures, including a ban on selling tobacco to those born after January 1, 2009.

The Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health supported the announcement, emphasizing the need for bold action to curb youth vaping.

Concerns over the unknown long-term health impact on young people and the environmental impact of disposable vapes were cited.

Despite opposition from some quarters, Sunak aims to implement the ban using existing environmental protection laws, extending it to Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland through devolved legislation.

The government’s comprehensive approach seeks to address the health risks and environmental concerns associated with youth vaping.

Zoo Owner Challenges €25,000 Fine for Imqabba Tiger Cub Incident

Zoo Owner Challenges €25,000 Fine for Imqabba Tiger Cub Incident
Jan 28 2024 Share

Zoo owner Anton Rea Cutajar is currently disputing a €25,000 fine imposed by the Appeals Court. The fine imposed levied after Cutajar was found guilty of having a tiger cub in a cage on a street in Imqabba. The case has garnered considerable attention, especially after Cutajar addressed the issue in a social media video.

In the video, Cutajar expressed his intention to appeal the fine. He mentioned that they were unaware of breaking any law, as the tiger cub was in the possession of a friend. Cutajar also compared the severity of his punishment to that of more serious crimes, implying that his fine was disproportionately high. He pointed out that his charitable efforts and fundraisers often went unnoticed by the media, contrasting this with the significant attention his current legal situation has attracted.

Cutajar acknowledged that a law was broken, indicating his willingness to accept the consequences. However, he requested a reduction in the fine, considering it to be excessively large. His appeal reflects his view that while accepting responsibility for the infringement, the penalty should be more commensurate with the nature of the offense.

Cutajar’s case continues to be a topic of discussion, particularly regarding the balance between animal welfare laws and the operations of private zoos.
