CPD Respond After Vehicles In Ħal Far Yard Catch Fire

Firefighters from Civil Protection Malta’s Station 1 responded to a fire involving multiple internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles at the Ħal Far Industrial Estate on Wednesday night.

The fire broke out within the estate, situated on the outskirts of Żurrieq. Emergency teams arrived swiftly to contain the flames and prevent further damage.
No injuries were reported, and authorities confirmed that the situation was brought under control in a short period of time.

Civil Protection Malta expressed gratitude to the Malta Police Force for their assistance in managing the incident.

Over 290,000 Full Time Workers In Malta By October 2024

According to information tabled in parliament, there were 326,188 people working in Malta by the end of October 2024.

Minister Byron Camilleri was responding to questions by MP Romilda Zarb, and provided a table of workers in Malta from 2014 to 2023, and up to October for last year.

As of October 2024, there were 175,800 men working full time and 115,057 women working full time, totalling 290,857.

Combining full-time and part-time workers, there were 326,188 workers by the end of October 2024.

There were a total of 35,331 part-time workers, with 16,024 being men and 19,307 being women.

But among those picking up on the viral moment was… Duolingo France, which took to TikTok to share an edit of Miriana’s song ‘SERVING’, previously ‘KANT’, and having her say:
