Courteney Cox Breaks Silence On Matthew Perry Passing

Courteney Cox was the next FRIENDS main co-star to share a touching tribute for Matthew Perry, following Matt LeBlanc’s own social media post.

Cox played Monica Geller in the beloved sitcom, who would eventually marry Perry’s character of Chandler, arguably creating one of the best power couples in TV show history.

‘When you work with someone as closely as I did with Matthew, there are thousands of moments I wish I could share. For now here’s one of my favourites’, she wrote, sharing the scene which revealed that their two characters had hooked up for the first time.

‘To give a little backstory, Chandler and Monica were supposed to have a one night fling in London. But because of the audience’s reaction, it became the beginning of their love story.’

Prime Minister Addresses Ficus Mosta Tree Relocation & Protests

Speaking to journalists, Prime Minister Robert Abela addressed the various elements in relation to the relocation of of ficus trees in Mosta.

Abela first spoke about the arrest of Moviment Graffitti activist Andre Callus, saying that the right for peaceful protest is a right for all citizens. He also highlighted that the job of police officers to keep civil order can often clash with this in intense situations.

He admitted however that the situation with Callus could have been exercised in a more ‘calibrated manner’, but emphasised that it is still a right for anyone to protest.

When it came to the relocation of the trees, Abela emphasised that the decision was taken unanimously by the Mosta local council.

The Prime Minister said that the decision was one that would see the 12 ficus trees relocated, and not destroyed, to Santa Margarita, with indigenous trees replacing those in Mosta.

Robert Abela also urged the local council members who took the decision to communicate on such matters with more clarity due to the sensitivity of the issue. ‘This is not a situation wherein the areas where the trees were located would have been replaced with concrete’, he said.
