Following his knockout win over Nate Robinson, Jake Paul has issued a challenge to sports superstar Conor McGregor, vowing to beat the Irish champion. 

The 23-year-old YouTuber has been making headline after headline after his recent foray into boxing, also hinting a potential match-up against fellow YouTuber KSI.

Boxing champion Amanda Serrano spoke out against the stupidity of celebrating boxing, stating that it is a serious sport and not be used to generate YouTube engagement:

Debenhams is closing its doors after 242 years

Debenhams, a leader in the British retail industry will be closing its doors due to the business collapse that happened during the coronavirus pandemic. It is set to liquidate its business which accounts for about 12,000 employees.

The company has been around for 242 years, and was attempting to sell all of the company or even parts of it.

JD Sports was an interested buyer but they are thought to have stopped showing interest and pulled out of deal conversations.

Revolut launch web application

The game-changing mobile finance application has shifted from it’s mobile-only accessibility by officially launched a web-based application. 

The company’s 13 million users can now access their purchase history and cards whilst also being able to top up their account and utilise customer care from the comfort of their desktop computers.

The app’s CEO and founder, Nik Storonsky has stated that the web-application has been widely requested by their users to they are happy to finally bring this level of accessibility to both mobile and desktop.

Educators should be treated as front-liners, union says

The Union of Professional Educators has spoken out in favour of educators being treated as front-liners and be amongst the first to receive the COVID-19 vaccine.

While commending the swift arrival of the vaccination in Malta, the UPE calls upon the government to treat educators as front-liners given the amount of contact they are exposed to on a daily basis.

The union also highlighted the vast amount of cases emerging from academic establishments in the past few months and the waves of self-isolation or quarantine that educators have to endure.
