A disturbing video showing cockroaches moving across seats inside a Tal-Linja bus has sparked outrage among commuters. 

Many are concerned about the hygiene on Malta’s Tal-Linja buses, especially since this is not the first time such an occurrence has been reported.

The incident adds to growing concerns about various issues with Malta’s public transport system.

The funeral for Emeritus Archbishop Pawlu Cremona O.P. will take place on Saturday, 22 March 2025. The funeral Mass will be held at the Co-Cathedral of St. John in Valletta at 9:30 am, followed by the burial at the Church of the Madonna of the Ghar and St. Dominic in Rabat.

On Friday offered the public an opportunity to pay their respects at the Co-Cathedral. A special morning prayer was held at 8:00 am where a large crowds gathered, followed by Mass at the Blessed Sacrament Chapel at 8:30 am.

On Saturday as the final day of the funeral program, The Archbishop of Malta, Charles J. Scicluna, will arrive at 8:45 am, followed by the Prime Minister, Hon. Robert Abela, and President, Her Excellency Myriam Spiteri Debono. The body of Emeritus Archbishop Cremona will be solemnly processed into the Co-Cathedral of St. John at 9:20 am, where a funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9:30 am.

Following the Mass, the funeral cortege will depart from the Co-Cathedral and make its way to the Church of the Madonna of the Ghar and St. Dominic in Rabat for burial. The service will be concluded in a private setting, with the public funeral procession continuing only to the entrance of Valletta.

Dust from Saharan set to affect Malta next week.

Higher-than-usual levels of Saharan desert dust are expected to reach Malta between Sunday, March 23, and Thursday, March 27, 2025, according to reports from www.bnazzi.com.

Dust levels are expected to peak from Monday to Wednesday March 24th-26th.

The dust event is caused by a low-pressure system over North Africa, driving strong winds that lift desert dust across the Mediterranean.
